What are SGA Micro-grants?

The Smart Grids Academy project provides micro-grants, which are financial assistance to pay for the enrollment fees of specific courses and training programs included on our platform. 

The grants and scholarships for training in smart grids are designed to partially or fully cover the cost of learning pills and/or training itineraries, focused on the specialization of smart grids.

How do the SGA Micro-grants work?

Registration: Micro-grants will be allocated to all those who apply, in the order of enrollment and until the available fund is exhausted.

Obligations: It will be a mandatory condition that any person who obtains a micro-grant, shall successfully complete the courses for which the enrollment fee has been granted. Otherwise, you will be required to pay the full enrollment fee for the SGA program.

The SGA project's vision is to make Bizkaia a leader in innovation applied to smart grid training and to develop a platform to drive R&D&I and local and international talent, through the Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub, as well as collaboration between the various stakeholders in the smart grid ecosystem.

This vision is possible thanks to the Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub, an innovation center dedicated to smart grids that Iberdrola set up in collaboration with the Bizkaia Provincial Council.
